It’s International Naïm Amor Week!
October 12, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - October 16, 2016 @ 10:00 pm UTC-7
Come to The Coronet nearly any time this week and help us celebrate the life and gainful employment of Tucson’s own Naïm Amor.
How is it even possible, you ask, that Naïm Amor is playing 4 shows in 6 days at just one location? Funny, that’s the same question my business partner just asked me. Alas, we still don’t have a clear answer.
Here’s the Lineup:
Wednesday – Naïm Amor and 1/2 priced bottles of wine
Friday Late Night – Joe Pena with Naïm Amor, Liza Byrne, Bill Elm and Van Christian – A phalanx of some of the finest musicians in Tucson, all jammed together in a corner of the patio.
Saturday Late Night – Naïm Amor and Oliver Ray. (I suspect this one is going to be some kind of mummenschantz bit.)
Sunday Supper Club – Wind yourselves back down from this hectic weekend with Naïm Amor, Thøger Lund and Spanish Chicken and Potatoes
Remember folks, International Naïm Amor week is a quadrennial event, meaning the next time it comes around the cities of America will most likely be a smoldering archipelago of terra cotta roof tiles and overgrown, raccoon-controlled victory gardens. And then, when you climb in your swamp-cooler housing for the night, having barely avoided capture by a patrol of highly intoxicated, drone-mounted television newscasters, you’ll think to yourself, man, I wish I had actually done something in those those last, few, beautiful weeks of civilization.
